I got this book recommended as a must read. I was very curious as this book was recommended also on the basis that it is a great romance written by a male writer. I love any books and feel that a great book is a great book no matter who the writer is, but my interest was peeked. I don't really know why now that I've read it, but everyone's taste is different I guess.I found this book very superficial. There's no depth to the characters, no real chemistry, no way to connect to how they are feeling. The storyline is good, so I expected a lot more. There is a profound lack of understanding about how the female body works. When the guys talk about it it's actually funny how clueless they are, but it's not that funny when the female character goes on an on about things that she would know IRL. I have to say I've read books with the same problem with a female writer, so I don't think that's the problem. IMO it's a general problem of being superficial in every aspect of the story. I have no idea if this is typical and I see other people love this book, but I was a little stunned and not in a good way. I've read worse though, so it got two stars.
